CREATING A BALLPARK ICON AND INCREASING PROFIT MARGINS
This all began when Brad Taylor asked us to create a custom dog bowl for the El Paso Chihuahuas. They wanted a food vessel for their now infamous “Dog Bowl Nachos” and they wanted it to feel like it came straight out of the junkyard. Knowing that people love a story-driven product, our goal was to design a vessel that created a “Hey, where did you get that?” moment in the park.
Another benefit of a custom vessel is that you can charge more because the perceived value of the item is higher. A $7 nacho can be sold for $12, driving up both per caps and increasing your margins.
Other than just creating a cool object to put food and beverage in, a recent study showed that having reusable food vessels can actually reduce overall waste. You can find pictures on social media of kids in El Paso eating their breakfast cereal out of their Chihuahuas dog bowls!

HOW WE CREATE YOUR CUSTOM VESSEL
Like our logo design projects, we start by sketching a wide range of concepts. The goal is to explore all the different ways we can turn your brand’s icons or local legends into iconic food and beverage vessels. For example, for the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp we expanded their logos into a variety of shapes and explored icons such as shrimping boats in order to find the right direction.
Once a design is chosen, our sculptors begin modeling the vessel. Then we work directly with the factory to match colors and perfect the form so that we can deliver a custom product that you can be proud of.

We can turn anything into a nacho bowl, mug, yard of beer, or ice cream bowl! We’ve yet to be stumped. The price per unit is lower than you might think because we’ve worked incredibly hard to reduce minimums.
